Pennies for Pets at New Market
New Market Elementary School
Posted On: Wednesday, December 13, 2017

Ms. Townsend's 1st grade class at New Market Elementary is a true example of holiday spirit. They recently held a Pennies for Pets fundraiser. The class brought in pennies to collect and give to the Randolph Animal Shelter. In total, the students brought in over $40 in pennies! On December 13th they presented the money to Mr. Van from the Animal Shelter to be used to purchase blankets, toys, and food for the needy animals. In return, Mr. Van gave Ms. Townsend's class a 2018 calendar filled with pictures of the pets that had been adopted from the shelter in 2017. New Market is very proud of Ms. Townsend and her students! They are doing a great job of showing that giving is the reason for the season! Way to go, Bobcats!
