Uwharrie 6th grader, Allie Popp, won the Randolph County Spelling Bee on February 6, 2018. Some of the words she spelled to reach the championship word were voluminous, excruciating, grotesque, millinery, oologist, and rhododendron. Her final word was vampire, which was the easiest word of all. We are all very proud of her hard work.
