Thank you, County Commissioners

Thank you to the Randolph County Commissioners for their continued support of the Randolph County School System!

On February 6, 2017, the County Commissioners approved $410,000 of funding in support of our Uwharrie School Project.  Then, on March 22, 2017, we learned of the County Commissioners’ support for building a new middle school in the Archdale-Trinity zone.

Finally, on April 6, 2017, RCSS received "Golden Leaf Grant" funding in the amount of $720,000. As part of the grant, Asheboro City Schools and Randolph Community College also received $240,000 each. Our school system's portion of the grant money will be used to start a "Metals Program" at Eastern Randolph High School and upgrade the current "Metals Program" at Randleman High School. The submission of the "Golden Leaf Grant" application was made possible only because of the County Commissioners’ contribution of $240,000 in matching costs!

We greatly appreciate the efforts of our County Commissioners with regard to each of these major projects!
