Saturday/Christmas Classes

A class is being planned for the Christmas break for students who cannot take the course in February or May due to after school conflicts.

The Christmas class will meet in a central location at the Randolph County School System central office, 2222-C South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC in Board Room B.

Dates the class will meet are December 21, 22, 26, 27, and 28.  The classes will meet from 8:00 to 2:00.  If poor weather causes a class to be missed it likely will be made up on a Saturday after Christmas.

Some notes about this class.

1 - This class will meet the for the minimum state Driver Education requirement of 30 hours of class.  A student cannot miss one of the classes and still be able to get the required hours completed.  If you cannot be there for all classes you should not sign up.

2 - Parents will need to stay for approximately an hour for a DMV presentation and to fill out paperwork for the student's eye check.  The eye check will be done that morning.

3 - There are no facilities for food so the student will have to provide his/her own lunch.

4 - We are running 2 classes, 35 seats in each class.  If more students show up than there is room for we will take the oldest students until all seats are filled.  Once registration is closed you can contact this office if you wish to know where your child is in the order of registrants' age.

5 - Students from this class with spring sports will not be scheduled for the driving portion until the end of the spring sport season.  This scheduling will start after Memorial Day.  Students will be scheduled oldest first.

6 - Students need to have a date of birth before August 1, 2003 to take for this class.
