JROTC cadets from Eastern Randolph High School recently ventured out to provide 30 boxes full of food to the community.

The morning started with 8 boxes being taken to the Christians United Outreach Center in Asheboro, where students learned about one of the biggest local food pantries and its order of operations.

The cadets later traveled to the Ramseur municipal building and greeted Mayor Danny Shaw with a donation of 10 Thanksgiving food boxes to be distributed directly back into the Ramseur community.

The 12 remaining food boxes were taken to families that had a need for food over the Thanksgiving holiday. These young men and women had the opportunity to go out on home visits and make some special deliveries.
